I’ve been the person selling marketing and the person paying for it. Sitting on both sides of that conversation taught me how hard it can be to tell good advice from a good pitch.
Running a carpet cleaning business in Auckland gives me somewhere to test those ideas. A quote, a phone call and a conversation at the front door can tell you a lot about what a customer values.
